Job Description
The Business Development Associate will be responsible for orchestrating future growth opportunities. Your primary responsibility will be establishing, fostering, and maintaining contact with decision-makers at counterparty firms in our proprietary database. Your means of doing so will be initial phone contact, follow-up phone contact and email follow-up. Face-to-face interactions with the firm are the longer-term goal as you cultivate relationships.
The nature of the position is sales-oriented, but it's not a typical sales job. Your success will not be measured in terms of sales "quotas", but instead by your effectiveness in working our database to familiarize future counterparties with the strengths of our firm and our potential to partner with the institutions you'll be communicating with.
Role and Responsibilities
Work directly with the President (BA Notre Dame University; MBA Columbia University) and Chief Investment Officer (BA University of Pennsylvania; MBA Columbia University) to cultivate new counterparty relationships.
Execute best practices:
Conduct research into target organizations to uncover business needs
Drive prospecting efforts in target customer profiles
Navigate client power structures to gain access to key decision-makers
Deliver proposals that demonstrate GITSIT differentiation
Preferred Qualifications
Outstanding verbal communication skills; candidate must be authentic, disciplined and persuasive, and comfortable presenting to executive level audience
Exceptional written communication skills; the ability to craft persuasive and polished written communications
Extremely strong listening skills; a keen ability to listen for client pain and unspoken objections and ultimately develop insights into win strategies
